The GreeneScene Podcast began as a longtime vision of Pam Marisa, who wanted to create a fresh, enjoyable way to share more of what makes Greene County special. Her idea was simple: to give the community a fun and easy way to learn about local stories, issues, events, people, businesses, and organizations that help shape life right here at home.

With the help of Pam’s retired business partner Shelly Brown and longtime friend Dolly Throckmorton, that vision came to life in August 2025. Together, Shelly and Dolly bring a wonderful mix of community knowledge, storytelling, humor, and public speaking talent to each episode. Their relaxed, friendly style makes every conversation feel like you are sitting down with neighbors and friends.

The GreeneScene Podcast is all about celebrating our community, keeping listeners informed, and having fun along the way. From local events and helpful tips to interesting people and unique places, each episode shines a light on something worth sharing in Greene County.

Join in on the fun with our most recent episodes:
Episode #26 – Mowers and Lawn Maintenance Tips: A Chat with Murray Hoy
Episode #27 – Fainting Goats and Full Hearts: Life at L&B Almosta Farm

Coming at the end of May:
Episode #28 – Lions Club Sounds of Summer
Episode #29 – Ice Plant & Car Show

As the podcast continues to grow, we are always looking for new ideas, great guests, timely issues, community events, and local stories to feature. That is where our listeners, businesses, and organizations come in. The GreeneScene Podcast is more than something to listen to, it is a way to be part of the conversation.

Do you have a business, service, nonprofit, event, or local organization you would like the community to know more about? Sponsorship ads and Spotlight Episodes are now available!

A GreeneScene Podcast Spotlight Episode is a fun and professional way to put your business in front of local customers. Instead of a traditional ad, you get a story-driven interview that highlights who you are, what you do, what makes you different, and why the community should choose you. It is relaxed, personal, and designed to help listeners connect with your business in a meaningful way.

Your Spotlight Episode includes a 25–30-minute recorded interview at Direct Results, guided questions from our hosts, time to share your story, services, specials, and what sets you apart, plus a podcast episode number and title you can continue using in your own marketing. Each episode is professionally edited and distributed on major listening platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, Youtube and PodBean.

Or you can choose to have a Sponsorship ad during one of our scheduled podcasts. Your business will receive multiple mentions throughout the episode, reinforcing your brand and connecting you to a highly engaged local audience. Even better, your episode will also be promoted in GreeneScene Magazine, helping you reach local readers and listeners across the county.

Be heard. Be local. Be the spotlight.
