Dear Greene County Residents,

Since 2015, it has been the honor of my life to represent you in the Pennsylvania State Senate. I’m asking for your vote on Tuesday, November 3rd so I can keep fighting to make Greene County a place where you can raise a family, start a business, earn a good living, and retire with dignity. I also encourage you to support Ben Humble for State Representative.

From New Freeport to Waynesburg to Mt. Morris and everywhere in between, I’ve had the privilege of meeting you at your doors, at festivals and community events, in your schools, small businesses, VFWs, and fire halls. Those conversations have shaped my work in Harrisburg and kept my priorities rooted in Greene County values.

I’m proud to have earned the support of farmers, coal miners, oil and gas workers, teachers, nurses, faith leaders, and small business owners across this county. Greene Countians have built, fed, maintained, and powered our Commonwealth and our Nation. Our proud history in coal mining, agriculture, power generation, and now natural gas production has made us a pillar of Pennsylvania’s economy.

This election will decide the future of Greene County. It is not about Republicans versus Democrats – it is about protecting working families and the blue-collar energy workers who provide the quality of life we enjoy.

The Center for Coalfield Justice, a radical environmental group funded by out-of-state billionaires, has spent decades trying to shut down coal, oil, and gas jobs in our region. This year, they are backing environmental activists Jodi Borello and Lois Bower-Bjornson for office. Their agenda would shutter our energy production, wiping out family-sustaining jobs and our tax base in the process.

I am grateful to have earned the trust of Republicans, Democrats, Independents, and people from every walk of life. They know what’s at stake, and they know I’ve worked tirelessly to deliver real results for Greene County.

In the Senate, I have secured millions of dollars for Greene County to repair crumbling roads and bridges, improving safety and access for residents, first responders, and public service vehicles. I have delivered funding for critical water and sewage infrastructure upgrades and worked closely with all five school districts to support our students and teachers. I have fought for expanded high-speed internet and telehealth access and helped secure a cost-of-living increase for retired teachers. I have authored and passed 11 bills, including measures to expand workers’ compensation for first responders with PTSD and to protect domestic violence victims, and I have introduced legislation to protect Pennsylvania lineworkers and to expand full practice authority for nurse practitioners.

I also ensured that landowners – especially farmers – receive the same depletion allowance deduction as federal tax standards, providing real tax relief for those who own mineral rights.

Act 13 – the natural gas impact fee – has been a lifeline for Greene County as coal production has declined. Greene County has received $176 million from this impact fee, supporting infrastructure projects, fire departments, road equipment, human services, and essential municipal operations. Those are dollars we cannot afford to lose – but they are at risk if we elect activists who want to crush our energy industry.

Greene County has promising opportunities but still faces challenges, including attracting new capital investment, broadening our tax base, easing the heavy burden of property taxes on seniors, cleaning up brownfields, and unleashing the full potential of Pennsylvania energy. I am committed to continuing this work.

On Tuesday, November 3rd, I respectfully ask for your vote so we can protect our jobs, our communities, and the future of Greene County.

Sincerely,
Camera Bartolotta
Pennsylvania State Senator
