Pennsylvania’s 2026-27 hunting season brings several updates for hunters across the Commonwealth. The Pennsylvania Game Commission has approved the season structure, with licenses valid from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.
A major change is expanded Sunday hunting: Sundays falling within most established seasons are now open for hunting, excluding migratory game birds. The season also includes adjustments to deer, bear, and other game regulations.
Hunters should review current bag limits, licenses, and Wildlife Management Unit rules before heading afield. WMU 2A covers the extreme southwestern corner of the state. This encompasses all of Greene County, as well as most of Washington County, and western Fayette County.
