Get to Know DR: Promo Products

Promotional products are useful items used to ‘promote’ your business. The items are imprinted with your organization’s name and contact info and used to increase brand awareness. Done correctly, these items not only create a memorable brand experience, they allow the brand to connect to the consumer physically.

Why choose promotional products? Because they work! Promotional product recipients are more likely to remember the name of an advertiser if it was on a promotional item they received. They are also more likely to do business with them.

Plus, people just like to receive them! The 2019 Consumer Study, PPAI Research report found that 8 out of 10 people surveyed like receiving promotional products and 7 out of 10 wish they received them more often. Promo products also have staying power – once people receive them, they keep them around. Research shows that at least 91% of people had at least one promotional product in their kitchen, 74% in their workspace, and 55% in their closet/storage areas. And when they’re done with them, 79% are likely to pass along promotional materials to others.

The key to promotional products is choosing the right product for the right audience.  The top five favorite product categories are wearables, health & beauty, technology, food & beverage, and travel products. There are millions of possibilities to choose from when it comes to selecting your promotional product and it’s important to choose the right item for your business and your consumers.
