Go for a Night Hike on the trails at Ryerson Station State Park. Listen to nature while being guided by the light of the moon. Meet in the parking lot at the intersection of Bristoria and Riggs Roads.
Bring your children to the park for some fun nature learning! Children will enjoy a story and participate in an activity, game or craft. Activities are designed for children ages 3-6. Meet at the Lions Pavilion in the Day Use Area.

Geocaches are hidden all over the world, including in Ryerson Station State Park. Learn how to participate in this high-tech scavenger hunt. Stop by the picnic tables in the Day Use Area to borrow one of our GPS units and learn the basics of using it to find hidden caches. GPS units will be available
Movie: On the Wings of the Monarch Enjoy a documentary in our outdoor amphitheater about the fascinating migration habits of the monarch butterfly. Learn where they go on their 2000-mile journey and how we can help their population numbers. Meet at the amphitheater on McNay ridge Road across from the campground.

Join us during the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower to get a glimpse of this annual display. Learn about this spectacular event and enjoy a snack around a campfire. We will have mountain pie irons on hand for creating some delectable treats. Meet at the park office.
Project WILD provides wildlife-based environmental education activities that are hands-on, easy to use and fun. These activities will help educators to incorporate an environmental focus in science, math, language arts, music, art and more. Registration for this workshop is required by Friday, August 3, 2018.
