World War I Memorial Dedication

November 11, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

The new World War I Memorial will be located adjacent to the Greene County Historical Society and Greene County Tennis Courts, at the intersection of Rolling Meadows Road and Garards Fort Road, in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania.

The site will honor all of the 1,000+ men and women who left Greene County, Pennsylvania to serve their country during World War I. Featured tributes will honor the 58 soldiers who gave their all. A flowering dogwood tree will be planted along the access sidewalk to remember each of the fallen. At each tree will be a solar powered garden lantern displaying a Memory Medallion that will share the picture and life profile information of each soldier, as well as the identity of contributors to the project.

This dedication event is free and open to the public.

Family members of the 58 are particularly encouraged to complete a simple registration form at https://raindayboys.com/dedication-ceremony-2018. Custom Memory Medallion Dog Tags are being gifted to family members who use the form to RSVP.
