Lazear Trail & Young Forest Restoration Hike

Along Lazear Trail is a 12-acre plot that has been cut to create young forest habitat for ruffed grouse, American woodcock and other species that require early-successional forest. Hike with the park naturalist to see the progress of this area and duscuss the significance of diverse habitats in our ecosystems. Meet in the parking lot of the Day Use Area.
