Dock to Lock 5K

$20The Greene County Department of Recreation will host the 2019 Dock to Lock 5K Run/Walk along the Greene River Trail on Saturday, May 11.
Registration fee is $20 OR pre-register by Friday, April 26 to guarantee your t-shirt and save $2 off your registration fee! Registration forms are available by calling the Department of Recreation at 724-852-5323.
Race registration and packet pick-up will begin at 7:15 a.m. at the Rices Landing Fire Hall. At 8:30 a.m., participants will be bused to the starting line of the Greene River Trail at the Greene Cove Yacht Club in Millsboro, Pa. The race will begin at 9 a.m. with the finish line located at the Lock Wall in Rices Landing.
The race will be timed by SERJ Racing Services from Uniontown.
An awards ceremony will be held following the conclusion of the race at the Rices Landing Fire Hall. Custom trophies will be awarded to the top “3” male/female runners and walkers in each age category along with the top “3” overall male/female runners and walkers. Refreshments and a random drawing for prizes will be held during the awards ceremony.
Proceeds from the 5K Run/Walk benefit Department of Recreation programs, such as the Summer Day Camp program, which offers free activities for county children ages 5 to 15. This year, Day Camp will be held June 17 through July 26 at various locations across the county.
The Dock to Lock is sponsored by the Greene County Commissioners, First Federal Savings & Loan Association of Greene County, First Student, and Rices Landing Vfd.
